The Fire Alarm Telegraph Building at 25 Delaware Avenue went up in 1917 as Albany’s central fire alarm station, where alarms from across the city came in and were relayed to firehouses. Architect Morris Ryder designed it in the Dutch Revival style, with a stepped brick gable that nods to the city’s Dutch roots. In 1976 it was converted into the Louise Corning Senior Citizens Center.
